Electric Pole saw not working
I purchased this saw years ago to trim orange tree in FL my 2nd home. Used it 1 time.
The next winter upon arrival tree had a blight and was dead. I planted a palm. Now 6-7 yrs later I got out the saw for it's 2nd use. On the extension pole ,the saw is dead.
Direct connect to electric the saw works great. The pole is dead. I need a new pole. Customer service a joke.
1 hr wait still no agent. I am a huge Remington Arms fan. Power tools...garbage waste of money poor to non existent customer service. Very sad and disappointed not to mention lost $'s The photos alone show this is a like new item.
Sitting in my garage unable to be used. I have owners manual still new but I cannot locate the receipt. I thought it might be w/manual but is not.
The photos, model, serial should be proof. I register all of my tools at time of purchase.

Lousy Pole Saw Supply
I purchased a Ranger II RM1035P pole saw several years ago and had good service from it. Recently, my nephew broke it beyond repair, so I looked immediately to get another one.
No dealer had it in stock: Home Depot, Lowe's, Northern Freight, True Value---no one.
Not even Amazon had it in stock. But the Remington Power Tools website cheerfully advised me to check all these and other sources for the item---and all of them were "out of stock."
So, after some researching of brands, user reviews, prices, functionality, and apparent quality, I found what appears to be a comparable saw from another manufacturer on Amazon and just bought it. Others undoubtedly have been disgusted at this breezy Remington website babbling about the wonders of Remington pole saws that are not available.
Who knows how many sales they have lost.
Tough luck for Remington. No reason for me to go back, ever, if I like this new one, and there I was, ready to buy and Remington blocked the way.

Worthless Pole Saw (Ranger 2)
- Malfunctions or defective mtd horrible customer service
Preferred solution: Get MTD to respond (ref:_00DA0hHew._5002Gwd42v:ref). Send prepaid postage + box for defective pole, so I don't have to travel for 4 hrs + spend $44+, almost 1/2 the cost of device, to send pole to repair center. Send free replacement.
